Synosis:
For Andrei, who starts school alongside Matei and Sofia in tha class of a kind, well meaning teacher, school is a mistery. Why does he have to go to school? The teacher sings and plays with the children, but doesn’t seem to have to many answers. The parents become discontent and make a complanit with the Sinister, who sends the teacher a pair of magic glasses that prevent her from seeing anything good in the children. Life both at school and at home becomes worse and worse for the three children. What is there to do?

THE BUDAPEST MARIONETTES is a multiple award-winning street show that brings about a range of different marionettes in a cycle of short stories accompanied by music. The show has been in continuous development since 2007 and each year it presents new elements in an ever-changing parade of unique puppet characters, impressive skills, laughter, drama and charm. THE BUDAPEST MARIONETTES, with an array of unique and inventive puppets, is an event designed to entertain audiences of all age groups (6-106 years).

Internationally acclaimed puppet master Bence Sarkadi started working with string puppets in 1999 and began touring with his one-man puppet shows in 2007. He has performed in the streets and on the stages of 6 continents and has won prestigious awards all around the world. He is the first and only Hungarian solo puppeteer to have been invited to perform two of his shows in the “IN” program of the most prestigious puppetry event in the world, at the “Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes” in Charleville-Mézières. He was also the first ever international artist to be featured as a “super guest” in Charleville the following year.

The goal that the artistic team set out to accomplish was to bring into discussion, through the means of theatrical creation, a very modern theme, that of the meaning of beauty, with its two fundamental forms –inner beauty and outer beauty. „Of course that the main focus remains the plotline of the story written by the Grimm brothers, but as an undertone we want the audience to reflect upon the balance between physical beauty, which is decorative, but fleeing and the beauty of ideas, of attitudes, of the way we treat eachother. These are eternal topics of discussion, completely valid today, when physiscal appearance is to many more important than other qualities like kindness, generosity, empathy, that last over time.” says director Ion Ciubotaru.

The stage adaptation of one of Hans Christian Andersen’s best known story, Thumbelina, is a version imagined by director Ion Ciubotaru: „ I created a show very loyal to the story that everyone knows, not straying from the plotline in the dramatisation. The original story is so beutiful, that it doesn’t need anything added or changed. Of course, the show is not a simple rendering, but a complex theatrical creation in which the characters are clearly individualized by the actor’s imagination.”

All of this in order for him to fulfill his destiny, marry Capitano’s daughter and accomplish his biggest dream: eat some profiterol!

Description:
Olguţa lives in Cluj, with her parents and her dog, Farid. She has a happy, boring life until her mother becomes ill and her father has to go work abroad in order to gather money for a kidney transplant. Her situation goes completely of the rails when she is sent to live with her aunt, Nina, who she hadn’t seen for a long time. Nina is the manager of a luxurious hotel and she loves dogs. She introduces Olguța to Victor, a boy around her age, and they quickly become friends. Then, a guy called Maximilian starts following them and they become fugitives. After they go through many adventures together, Olguța finds out that everything was set up by her grandfather, Constantin, who her parents weren’t speaking to. The grandfather wanted to test her in order to see if she is worthy of being his heir. All in all, everything ends well. Maximilian is fired, her father comes home and her grandfather offers to donate a kidney to her mother.

Augusto Boal said that we are all actors and being a citizen doesn’t mean living in society, but changing it.
Zebrar is an interactive performance about traffic safety. It invites the audience to take decisions in order to change the world around. By presenting actual situations from day to day life in the city, the performance proposes more than reflection topics, it encourages the audience to take action.

“The Little Zero” is created in the style of cartoon animation with no language barrier, only puppets and live music. The performance focuses on the topic of social hierarchy and ‘the value” of each one of us. It is both educational and entertaining and it is inspired by the “The Triumph of the Zero” poem by Gianni Rodari.
The performance tells the story of the adventures of Little Zero, determined to find its place in the world of Numbers. A world very similar to the human – filled with conflicts, drama, passion, laughter and tears, love, suspense, unexpected turns…..And here she is – the little Zero, all alone and sad, banished from everyone, because she is “ZERO”, she is worthless…Until One comes and everything changes…
Тhe show carries the idea that sometimes the little ones make a huge difference and quite often those who are the last become the first.

Instead, we focus on how music changes our mood or helps us overcome certain difficulties. Synopsis:
The show Town musicians of Bremen, the way it was thought out by director Adam Boboc, is full of rythm and joyfulness and keeps the interest of the spectator peeked at all times. Although the storyline is very close to the original, the show adds humor, resulting from situations and the translation of the text in verse, and uncovers for the audience a cheerful tale, full of color and charm, that still holds a strong moralising dimension.
It is hope that unites these four beigns (a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster) and brings them on the same path of discovering the importance of friendship, tolerance and confidence and trust in those who are always there for you.

In the fairy tale, you will hear authentic Ukrainian music arranged by Yurii Shevchenko, get acquainted with Ukrainian ornaments in the set design by Oleksandr Andrushkevych and Viktor Nikitin, and discover from actors Yurii Titarov and Kateryna Kravchenko what life is like in a Ukrainian village.
